FPC 100 Functions

Stop
FPC 100 continuously measures the pump motor current and voltage to calculate the power. When the pit is emptied and the pump starts drawing air ('snoring') the power consumption decreases. This is detected by the control unit and the pump is stopped.

Start
FPC 100 uses an elaborate algorithm to adjust the pause time to the rate of inflow. Immediately after stop, the inflow is calculated from the running and pause time prior to stop. A large proportion of pumping due to a high inflow results in a short pause time. A low inflow consequently leads to long pause.
By adapting the length of the pause time to the actual inflow, FPC 100 aims to start the pump each time at the same level.

Monitoring

Stator winding temperature with thermal switches or thermistors

Phase asymmetry

Phase sequence
Display and indication
Each view of the display is called a window and there are 27 windows. These windows are used for indication and parameter setting. Press the 'Next' key to change windows.
Check the 'Installation and user manual for the FPC 100' for a complete view of the windows (pdf-version of the manual is below).

Setting
FPC 100 can be set into operation with a single press of a button. It will then use default parameter setting to run the pump. However FPC 100 also offers the possibility for optimization.

Running modes
The controller is made to start and stop the pump without the use of level sensors. However it is still possible to connect a high level switch (i.e. ENM10) as an extra safety measure. Just connect it to the "DIG IN" input and the pump will start after the calculated pause OR in case the high level switch is activated.

If the inflow is extremely low at times or erratic, the control unit can be set to start only when the level switch is activated. Regardless of way the pump is started, normal stop always occurs at snoring.
