Flygt 8000 Series





The Flygt 8000 series consistes of three product lines.

Wear resistant vortex pumps (H8000.181)
Flygt H8000 series wear resistant vortex pumps are designed for the continuous transportation of highly abrasive solids. All wet parts are made of Ni-Hard 4 wear resistant material. The excellent performance of wear resistance of Ni-Hard makes it possible to run pumps unnecessarily at low speeds to lengthen service time. By equipping Flygt H8000 series with an optional agitator (available for most models), the density of the pumped mixture can be increased. Flygt H8000 also provides the extensive coverage on applications for pumps less than 74 hp. The typical applications are inclusive of construction and mining, power generation plant, paper and pulp, steel plant, dredging etc.

Corrosion resistant vortex pumps (D8000.280)
Flygt D8000.280 corrosion resistant vortex pumps, are made in stainless steel, top to bottom, and can handle a pH-range of 2-14. The risk of clogging is completely eliminated because the impeller is recessed which leaves a wide, open passage through which solids can pass. The recessed impeller also eliminates the need to make adjustments caused by wear. Options for stainless steel are AISI 316 or AISI 329. Threaded cable entrance, flexible stainless steel cable sleeve are available. The typical applications are sewage and waste water pumping, industrial effluent handling, the chemical industry, food processing, the textile industry etc.

Cast iron vortex pumps (D8000.180)
Flygt D8000.180 cast iron vortex pumps extend the coverage of Flygt pumps. Pumps from this series can deliver approximate 200 ft. (8064) or 350 ft. (8061) total dynamic head, which is excellent for high head applications. Main parts are made of cast iron. Cooling jacket is optional. The typical applications are dewatering, sewage, general industry etc.
