FLYPS 3.1 provides a module for pump station design. Active sump volume and stop levels are calculated to determine the station dimensions. The calculations handles dual pump stations with one pump operating and one standby.
The sump volume calculation is based on pump capacity and maximum number of starts per hour together with the sump geometry and the specified start level. The stop level and station dimension are then calculated. The module can handle both prefabricated round stations and the, by FLYGT developed, self cleaning TOP station.
