VFD-analysis

The VFD analysis is used to examine the effects of a Variable Frequency Drive. Frequency regulated performance curves can be shown for up to 4 pumps both in serial and parallel connection.

Two ways of applying VFD controls can be analysed:
Separate: One pump is frequency regulated and the others are running at full speed.
Common: All pumps in the system are frequency regulated at the same time.

Frequency regulated duty point can be specified and printed out. Available power margin is also displayed.

The professional version of FLYPS includes a number of additional curves, such as flow vs. frequency, power vs. frequency, specific energy etc.

The VFD anlysis is a powerful tool with which the user can calculate energy savings when a VFD is installed in the system. This tool is also very useful when programming the VFD control system.
