Grinding problems down to size
The competent grinding assembly of this pump is designed with components made from chromium-alloy and stainless steel. All solids are reduced to particles less than one-half inch in size, thereby allowing the use of small diameter discharge pipes.
The impeller includes a rotating cutter device mounted on the shaft acting in combination with the stationary cutting ring having axial teeth. The impeller works not only by picking up and reducing the size of solids and fibrous materials but, by ejecting large hard particles.
Flygt Grinder pumps are very tough and can withstand at least 15 starts per hour.
